Want Diversified Adjustment Services to stop calling?
In all honesty, how many times have you dreaded receiving yet another call from Diversified Adjustment Services? It may have been once. twice, or countless times. It doesn’t matter much, though, because the law states that the violation of your FDCPA and TCPA rights by Diversified Adjustment Services even once is considered a case of debt collection harassment and treated as such.
Several other of our clients have been also fallen victim to the excesses of Diversified Adjustment Services. What you may not know, though, is that there are laws that forbid debt collectors from harassing you, calling you incessantly, and infringing on your rights. Yes, a debt collector can be found guilty of violating your telephone or consumer rights, for which they will be liable to pay a fine.
According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Diversified Adjustment Services has violated your rights if that have invaded your privacy or acted in any of the ways explained below.
The Telephone Consumer Protection Laws that protect your Rights
Before 1991, and following the shift to more modern means of communication such as the telephone and fax, debt collectors went unchecked in their day to day activities, leading to an unprecedented rise in unregulated and harassing telemarketing and debt collection calls, faxes, and messages.
Essentially, the law prohibits certain automated calls, texts, and faxes sent by telemarketers, banks, and debt collectors and other entities to unsuspecting consumers who haven’t given their permission to be contacted.
A debt collector violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act could result in $500 in damages for each violation and $1,500 if the consumer can prove that the violations were deliberate.

The Fair Debt Collection Laws that protect your Rights
If the FDCPA is breached, then you may be entitled to a compensation of $1000 or more. It is, however, important to note that you will still have to resolve the debt if it is legitimate, regardless of whether or not your FDCPA case is successful (except in cases where the court agrees to waive a part or the entire sum of the debt).

Diversified Adjustment Services has been sending me letters, can I stop this too?
Yes, you can! All that the law requires you to do is mail them a cease and desist letter which basically functions as its name suggests. You must let them know within the body of the letter that you would want them to desist from calling you, or sending you letters from that day forward.
The law gives them no choice but to grant your request. Once you send it, they can only contact you for three reasons: the first reason is if they want to inform you that they have received your letter, the second is if they want to notify you that an action such as a lawsuit may be against you, and the last is to inform you that some form of legal action is definitely going to be carried out against you. This proves that the cease and desist letter is a very effective method to get debt collection agencies like Diversified Adjustment Services to stop contacting you.
